Permaculture design for Your Lifestyle

What is permaculture?

Permaculture is systems design science. It integrates land, resources, people and the environment through mutually beneficial synergies – imitating the no waste, closed loop systems seen in diverse natural systems. Permaculture studies and applies holistic solutions that are applicable in rural and urban contexts at any scale. It is a multidisciplinary toolbox including agriculture, water harvesting and hydrology, energy, natural building, forestry, waste management, animal systems, aquaculture, appropriate technology, economics and community development. Permaculture has an ethical base of care for the earth, care for the people, care for the future.

As we move into an uncertain future permaculture gives us the tools to build resilience.

Services

Consulting

This is where the journey begins. Set up a consultation to start the discovery process for your permaculture property.

Design

Once your consultation has been completed the design process can begin. I offer collaborative design on single systems like chickens and compost to complete permaculture landscape design. Permaculture design is iterative and interactive!

Project Management

So you’ve got your design in hand, now what? If you just don’t know where to start or you’ve hit a roadblock, I can help. I offer hourly and monthly plans to get you over the hurdle you’re facing with project planning and management. Let’s turn the daunting task of your permaculture build into manageable parts.

Education

There are many topics that permaculture covers from perennial gardens and food forests to building and renovating homes in ways that are healthy for us and the earth. Through my work with Pikes Peak Permaculture I frequently offer skills specific classes, workshops, and lead permaculture design courses. Do you have a group that you feel would benefit from learning about permaculture? I am available for speaking engagements for your group.

Soil Services

Soil is more than dirt, it is the foundation of life on earth. Are you ready to repair the foundation? I offer soil education services so you can feel empowered to take your soil and your plants to a whole new level of health and vitality.

Scott S.

“My elderberry tree was in serious trouble. It was completely overrun by aphids and looked like it might not recover. I was overwhelmed and unsure where to start, but Jayme stepped in with guidance that changed everything.

She offered a targeted, soil-centered approach that not only addressed the aphid problem but also helped restore the tree’s overall health. Within a short time, I saw real results. The tree came back stronger, greener, and more vibrant than I could have hoped.

Jayme has a gift for reading what plants need and offering solutions that go beyond the surface. Her knowledge is deep, and her generosity in sharing it made all the difference for me. I’m incredibly grateful and would trust her insight again in a heartbeat.”
